Hailing from Oslo, Norway and known by birth as Aleksander Vinter, SAVANT was not a name chosen but rather a description. He has Aspergers Syndrome. But with his condition comes a wonderful gift of exceptional musical ability. He has created over 10,000 songs from Classical to Black Metal, Dubstep and everything in between.

"Some days I make up to 10 songs. Some days just 2. I've had a continuous creative flow since the day I started dreaming music. And I have been producing non stop for 15 years now. So its not that hard math. Savant + 15 years = 10.000+ tracks. Every time I release a free song, theres 5 songs in the demo folder. For every album, theres 50-100 demos. Its a lot of work. The kind I love."

Vinter was nominated for a Norwegian Grammy Award in 2009 for his first album, “Outbreak”. This was the catalyst.

Aleksander debuted SAVANT in late 2011 with his album “Ninur” and has been on a rocket ship ever since that time, showing lovers of EDM that there is much more to be done with the music.

In 2012 he broke loose with four full albums starting with “Vario” in February, a Beatport #4 Top Release. Then “Overworld” in June, a Beatport #1 Top Release. “ISM” followed shortly after that in September with a Beatport #1 Top Release. “Alchemist”, another incredible album release in December crushed the Beatport charts by hiting the #1 spot for Dubstep, Drum and Bass, Electro-House, Indie Dance/Nu Disco and Overall. In July 2013, he released CULT, which debuted at #1 on Beatport _Dubstep, Drum & Bass, Glitch Hop, Breaks, Electro-House, and Overall. _ As if that wasn’t enough he also released dozens of tracks to his fans via SoundCloud as “Mixtapes” and free EPs like “Mindmelt” and “Overkill”.

His hard work shattered expectations and imaginations. In 2013 he released his 7 track EP “♥ (heart)” where he dominated the charts at Beatport.com with #1 Overall, #1 Electro House, #1 D&B, #1 Glich-Hop genres. All around SAVANT had 39 tracks across all of the Beatport charts.

Aleksander undertook his first world tour in the Spring of 2013, drawing adoring crowds from Vienna, Austria to Winnipeg, Manitoba and St. Louis, MO. As the tour continues, his cult-like fan following has continued to swell, and he's becoming less of an underground enigma than an influential powerhouse in the EDM community.

As of April, 2013, Savant's releases made up 10% of the weekly top 50 releases in Dubstep and Electro House on Beatport. His fans, always devoted to the point of reverence, have recognized their role in pushing him and his compositions to the edge, constantly challenging expectations and evolving what genres mean both as music and meaning.

Going forward, Savant's looking to storm through 2013 with not only another full length EP but a video game, Savant Ascent, an IndieGoGo campaign to fund a Mike Diva music video, a second US tour, and additional collaborations.
