The Green Dining Alliance

Restaurants and Sustainability

WHO: Jaime Kelley and Olivia Engel of the Green Dining Alliance
WHAT: A free talk on greening the restaurant industry
WHEN: Thursday, September 19, 7 p.m.
WHERE: Longview Farm Park, 13525 Clayton Road, Town & Country, MO 63141

An initiative of St. Louis Earth Day, the Green Dining Alliance works with restaurants to reduce their environmental impact. Staff members Jaime and Olivia will introduce and explain the Alliance, give a bit of history, talk about why and how restaurants become certified, list the certified (and pending) restaurants, and explain how interested citizens/diners can get involved.

Jaime has a background in the restaurant industry, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering & Urban Policy and Planning. Olivia also has experience with food, both in restaurants and farmers' markets. Her goal is to help make St. Louis a national leader in sustainability.
