YOUR YOGA MAT IS CALLING YOU
Now that the warm beautiful days that we have all been waiting for have finally arrived, remember to take time for yourself and your well-being. At these times of fruition and harvest, when most things are at their peak, where things seem to flow much more effortlessly, we often forget about our own well-being and our need for nuturing. Remind yourself to take a few moments each day for you. Whether it's a stroll, a swim or few moments of solitude somewhere in your day, make time for the most important person in your life. You!
We sometimes think that taking some "me" time as being selfish, however we cannot be in top form for anyone else if we ourselves are not in sync and balanced. Engeries are at their peak at this time of year as we approach the summer solstice; the longest day of daylight. Energy is flowing outward as we have more time to shine with the sun. Remember to keep some of that energy for yourself and your well-being.
Yoga & meditaion are both fantastic at balancing the mind & body.

PURE Facts about Mint
This refreshing, aromatic herb not only tastes good, but can work as a home remedy. Mint stimulates the flow of bile to the stomach which promotes digestion. It also works as an antispasmodic, calming the action of muscles, particularly those of digestion, stomach upsets and in relieving menstural cramps.
While garden mint can be a bit strong for culinary purposes, it can be used in a variety of ways to enjoy its light refreshing taste & beneficial properties:
▪ Add it to fruit and/or salads & iced teas ▪ Add twisted or bruised mint leaves to water, strain & drink ▪ Add fresh mint to tuna and lime vinaigrette for a new spin on tuna salad ▪ Add minced mint to cucumber & yogurt for a quick easy summer salad ▪ Use mint & orange peel in herb vinaigrette for salads or marinades for meat ▪ Or pull out all the stops & make a Mojito or Mint Julep
Just be sure to contain this herb in a container if you do plant it, as it will overtake your garden.
