Greetings!

I feel like a broken record, but it's hard to believe that it's mid August and summer is starting to come to a close. It's been an eventful one for our family and for Orchard Cove but we are loving our new home in Vermont and are so happy here.

My blogging has been a bit less regular lately with family visiting and a few trips away but enjoy the news below.

For people thinking about getting some family photos taken for the holidays I'd encourage you to get in touch soon - my schedule is filling up!

PERSONAL

▪ Of course it was 90 degrees when we packed the truck in Connecticut
▪ It was a bit cooler (but not much!) as we arrived in Vermont and family & friends gathered to help us unpack
▪ I shared a tour around the outside of our house
▪ And then did a tour around the inside
▪ One of my favorite things about being in Vermont is having lots of family around. The week after we moved all the cousin's on my Mother's side were in town so we got together for a cousins picture!
▪ The night before we closed on our house Jeff and I walked down to the beach at sunset for a swim and to build a fire. Later that night we came back with a bottle of champagne to toast to new adventures!
▪ Our new house looks out over a field - perfect for photographing lightning storms crossing the meadow!

Wedding season is in full swing - my favorite time of year!

▪ I've started a new series on couple's favorite photos - Laura & Pete's picks kicked off the series
▪ Katie & Erik's Manchester engagement photos
▪ Kate & John's beautiful Hydrangea & Seersucker themed wedding
▪ In early July I traveled to St. John for Missy & Amy's wedding celebration. I loved attending the rehearsal dinner but nothing could top the main event!

▪ Teddy's parents got a gift certificate for the grandparents for Christmas last year to have some family photos taken - we had so much fun!

▪ The first wedding albums from this year are starting to be ordered so September will bring more action in the Boutique section!

RECIPES

Salad

We've been enjoying our Pete's Greens Farmshare this month but have reverted to our usual summer habit of making big yummy salads with a little bit of everything....no recipes there :)

Although I love summer I'm starting to dream about cozy fall nights sipping homemade soup and snuggling in on the couch with my family :)
