Right Posture for Runners and Walkers

At Zanjabee, we encourage everyone to exercise. Vigorous exercise has the most benefit but can lead to sports injuries if you are not careful. Research at Boston University
shows that posture during running is critical to keeping your knees and hips safe.
Adequate stretching and warm up before and after the run are important as well. Most runner have tight ham strings and benefit greatly from focused sports massage targeted at the thigh and hip area at least once a month.

Healing By Narrative - Story Telling at Zanjabee

So much of human illness, both mental and physical is related to the stories we tell ourselves about our own lives. People can heal by retelling their stories. Zanjabee is starting a monthly story telling hour where patients and their friends/family can get together to share a story from their lives that was ground breaking, a watershed experience or just plain funny. Here is how:
If you want to tell a story:

1. Send us an email to ask@zanjabee.com with a short paragraph about what you want to say.
2. Stories must be from your life experience and true.
3. No notes, just you telling your story in your own words in about 10 minutes.
4. What is said at Zanjabee, stays at Zanjabee.
5. Identify yourself to your audience according to your comfort level. Disclose your first name or no name, depending on what works for you.

If you want to attend:
1. Drop us an email letting us know that you will be coming.
2. Bring a friend or family member and arrive promptly at 6pm.
3. We will have tea. Feel free to bring food for yourself that you can eat quietly.
