Greetings!

Whew! Wedding season has officially arrived and with it the start of a very busy few months. Earlier this month I journeyed 1400 miles in ten days with weddings in two states and three portrait shoots in three states - tis the season! As this wings its' way across the internet I'm heading south again to photograph the wedding in Brooklyn of an old family friend. I feel so thankful to be getting to meet so many wonderful people along the way and to have this awesome job.

When I do find myself at home I've really enjoyed tending our garden although many days I find myself glancing out the window longingly seeing things that need to be attended to but not having the time. Oh well - it will happen when it happens!

Read on for recent news and stay tuned - it will be a busy summer!

For Burlington area folks.....Our friends Michael & Vera (whose lovely lambs and sweet dog Aldo you've seen plenty of) are raising chickens fed organic feed, grubs, and Vermont grass - they are accepting pre-orders for August pick up (Jeff and I are picking up six from the first batch ready in July!) - VISIT THEIR WEBSITE to sign up
Springtime means the end of crafting and the beginning of gardening - mulching our main bed has helped a HUGE amount with the weeds!
We added four raised beds to our garden this year to grow annuals and veggies
Missed the birth by a few minutes but loved photographing a lamb that was minutes old at my friends Michael & Vera's farm - I love Vermont!
We visited my Dad in Pennsylvania right as the cherry blossoms were in full bloom - good timing!
Before we started in the garden we worked on cutting and splitting a downed tree in our woods - it will keep us warm this winter!

Some found the new Gatsby movie a bit over the top but I thought it was entertaining and beautifully staged

I found this article on the value of a wedding album EXTREMELY compelling. In this age of digital I still think a wedding album is something that every couple should have whether you make it yourself or work with me to create it.
An interesting New York Times article about hosting an Unplugged wedding.
Loved this Jimmy Kimmel mash-up of Brian Williams rapping
