Hiking season has begun!

While some of us are still enjoying the plentiful snow for skiing, the alpine flowers are coming out lower down and we can get some cross-training in with our hiking boots on. Looking forward to a great spring season with everyone! Remember - you don't have to be a member to join in the fun.

We are excited about the 12 new activities planned for the fraiche air spring calendar from April to June! There's something for everyone - from powerwalks and hikes to wine-tasting and rafting. 14 March - Powerwalk, Trelex (CH)

Nice workout and gorgeous sun for our exploration of the Trelex Forest trails and other treasures - ponds, streams, and spring flowers.

Sun 17 March - Intro Ski Touring, La Tour (FR)

What an amazing introduction to ski touring and mountain awareness with our guide Pete! We rose to the challenge of the foehn wind and had excellent instruction in everything from first aid kit contents to the size of snow crystals. No powder to try out, but everyone picked it up super fast or worked on improving their technique. Bravo!

18 March - Powerwalk, Grilly (FR)

Winter surprised us and come back! We blissfully powerwalked with snowflakes instead of raindrops. A great trail along the country lanes and old farms and watermills of the Versoix river at a really good pace. Oh, and did we mention the 'mud season' is upon us...

26 March - Full Moon Snowshoe

Our last snowshoe of this great winter season. We headed out through the magical misty forest and were rewarded with a delicious fondue in several flavours!

The trail tip for the very popular Grand Paradis hike is now available!

It's an action packed day for the family or visitors in a beautiful valley with a waterfall, tree-climbing park, a trail carved into a cliff, an auberge, and hot springs!

Each Trail Tip includes a detailed trail description and map, how to get there, a handy gear checklist and emergency numbers. Members get 10 free with a DropBox link, or email if you'd like to buy them (CHF 5 /Trail Tip or 40 CHF for 10).
