As we flip the page on the calendar to the start of a new year and put 2012 behind us, let's take a moment to reflect on the past year. If you haven't already done so, consider taking a moment to review your intentions and goals that you set at the beginning of last year, along with your accomplishments, areas to improve, change or grow.

Once you have reviewed last year, take some time to quiet your mind and let it wander to the future, to the "Ultimate You", the best possible version of yourself and your ideal life. Remove any limitations that you might think you have; time, money, support, space, excess weight, willpower, etc. Imagine for a moment, your life at its best possible form and yourself at your best, at your peak. Visualize what you're doing, what you're wearing, where you are, what you look like, how you feel, how you walk, your smile, your attitude. What are you saying? Who are you talking to? What are they saying? Let that image and feeling permeate your body and each of your cells. Feel the excitement, the joy and the inner smile.

It is here in the depths of imagination that the mind reaches beyond the boundaries of logic and inspires new possibilities. Remember that every goal and change is accomplished by taking one step at a time. Don't worry about the steps you'll take next week, month or year. Keep your focus centred on the current step that you're taking. Put all of your intention into making the present moment a magnificent one. It doesn't matter if the step feels insignificant, just keep in mind that even the smallest step contributes to the path of unveiling the authentic You.
