Let me tell you a story: years ago I went with some friends to a concert that had many artists and a lot of people. I ended up chatting with the guy next to us who assured me that Beck put on a great show when I expressed that I wasn't that interested in seeing him.
Beck and crew came on in white suits & yarmulkes and during their set a guy bum rushed the stage causing a frenzy among the security guards. As cool as ever, Beck said 'Nah, man, nah, he can stay. But he's gotta weara yamaka!'
We danced like crazy people as we cheered his awesome response. Later, my friends complained that everywhere I went I always talked to strangers. My new friend, Mike, and I had exchanged hugs & gifts souly for the joy of new found friendship and I have that gift all these years later.
What I took away from this is that there is no such thing as a stranger if you are in the right situation. So many moments are ripe friendship, even if it only lasts for the time you are together in the moment.
