AWWA Releases White Paper on Fracking

We've avoided getting in the middle of this controversial topic, because there are a lot of opinions and a lot of unknowns. However, AWWA has recently released an easy-to-read 14 page white paper on the topic. The information is well-researched and shares both sides of the issue in an utility-centric way. We also like that the document shares specific steps water systems can take as well as suggestions for communicating with customers.

Volunteers Needed for Wastewater Facilities Questionnaire

Are you a leader or decision-maker in a small community or a wastewater system design engineer that serves rural areas? The USEPA is seeking volunteers to take part in a study to help the agency identify tools to assist local officials and designers of wastewater facilities in choosing effective, sustainable technologies to serve small communities.
