I visited Palomino Valley again
Remember I told you how much we had planned in April? Well we've almost made it through but we have one more event that is very important. This month didn't go like planned; because each had unavoidable circumstances Gabby, Emma, and Meghan couldn't come with me!
So, it was just me presenting at the meeting again but I was honored to read my friends' statements! I do think the BLM advisory board was touched by what everyone had to say because it really seemed like I had their attention. I hope they were listening! I put a link with our comments to the BLM at the end of this post.
Some people say we over exaggerate what is happening to the BLM horses in holding and I think they just don't know or understand how bad it really is.
We have death reports showing alarming death rates. We have secret internal memos planning for mass destruction of captive horses. We have witnessed the smell of death at holding facilities and seen animal remains. And we are not the only ones. You have the power of this information in your hands too.
Do you see the colt in the lower left? When we saw him it was like the others were trying to help him up. He did manage to free himself, thankfully without breaking himself. Who knows how long he was stuck there?
I used to roam free on the hills. Now I am here. Can you see me? Do you care?
I understand that many of you are not available. You can't - that is why you send me. Your contributions help me to go on these trips and expose what is really happening and I am happy to represent you and my generation too.
Our last event in April is the International Rally for the Survival of Horses and Burros. It is happening all over America but the epicenter is right here in Nevada at our state capital Carson City. We really want to go to represent all the other kids that want to be there too.
I am writing mid-week because we are supposed to leave on Friday and we are short of our travel needs. I am happy to be a face, a voice, a beacon that says, "I see you, I will not forget you!" Please help me again - don't let us down today. Your $5 today will help me get there. I will continue to speak loud and proud for the horses. It is easy to get discouraged but with your help I will march on.
We found "Future!" He has a tag number and is available for adoption!
