Some links are affiliate links meaning, at no additional cost to you, I may get a small commission if you make a purchase. Thanks for your support in this way!

1. A new, free design tool

Watch out PicMonkey, there’s a new kid on the block called Canva. It's a free, web-based design tool with a lot of bells and whistles. It’s especially great for those of us with limited design background, or in my case, talent. It's currently in beta so if you can't get in, I have 5 invitations to give away. All I need is your email address and you get instant access. Email me if you want one. First come, first served.

2. Keep yourself in front of customers

John Lee Dumas interviewed Rob & Mish (Mortified Cow) on the Entrepreneur on Fire podcast recently. The EOFire podcast is great (as always) but Rob & Mish told a story of how they helped a client build her yoga/raw food website. After the project was over, every time they came across something they thought she would find genuinely useful, they passed it on. This is thoughtful but also keeps them on her radar. It reminded me of a realtor we had in another state who called and sang Happy Birthday to each of us for years. Got customers? What could you do?

3. How to extend your content reach (without a whole lot of extra work)

If you're a blogger who wants to get in front of a new audience, try a different medium. You can do it without having to create brand new content. Got a popular list post (like "15 Things...")? Just break those things up, flesh each one out a tiny bit and make each into a short YouTube video or a SlideShare presentation. Done.

4. Are you using Rich Pins on Pinterest?

Rich pins give you an added level of branding and functionality on your pins. For example, here's a board of my own pins:

Note how my avatar and name show up for those pins from AmyLynnAndrews.com (circled in orange). That's because AmyLynnAndrews.com is Rich Pin-enabled. Note how my pin from BloggingWithAmy.com does not. If you use Yoast's SEO plugin, getting set up is easy. Melissa Taylor, author of Pinterest Savvy, has an easy-to-follow tutorial here.

5. In other news...

This week I read an article about a super quiet room that drives people crazy in 45 minutes and I'm thinking I could break that record. I have also been weighing the pros and cons of deleting my Facebook Page in favor of allowing people to Follow me on my Personal Profile instead. I'm leaning heavily in the direction of deletion but I'll keep you posted.

Have a great weekend!
