You are invited to a screening of Earth: The Operators’ Manual, a PBS documentary that presents an objective, accessible assessment of the Earth’s problems and possibilities that will leave viewers informed, energized and optimistic. Host Richard Alley – a geologist and former oil company employee whom Andy Revkin of the New York Times once called “a cross between Woody Allen and Carl Sagan” – leads the audience on this engaging one-hour special about climate change and sustainable energy.

Dr. Jack Fishman is a Professor of Meteorology and the Director of the Center for Environmental Sciences at Saint Louis University. Before coming to SLU, Dr. Fishman worked at NASA's Langley Research Center in Hampton, Virginia, for 31 years, where he retired in 2010.

Dr. Kyra Krakos is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Maryville University and a Research Associate with the Missouri Botanical Garden. Her research focuses on the impact of climate change on plant communities and plant-pollinator interactions.
