Account size matters
It’s always been emphasized the importance of having multiple accounts and maybe there’s something that many members are overlooking. The account balance is as important as diversifying funds among multiple brokers.
Profitability is not linear
A bigger account will be more profitable in percentage that the same account with a smaller balance, however this variance is not linear.
Let’s see an example:
Two accounts trading on the same broker for the last two weeks(Jan 9th-Jan 23rd)
Initial balance usd 1,200 account made usd 105 in profits (+8.75%) usd 20,000 account made usd 2,800 in profits (+14%)
You can see this on our accounts. It’s common many of you asking about the performance on our Myfxbooks, especially on the account 0408 which historically you've seen growing.
The reason
Lightning is a composite of several strategies and some of them can’t be executed on small accounts due to risk, required margin or some other issues. For this reason, big accounts perform better and grow faster.
All the accounts are traded as if funds were ours so the human factor also plays a role here as inevitably big accounts, because of their size, receive closer attention.
What should I do?
Opening new brokers is important, but if you already have over 5 Essential brokers with you and they are performing well, you should seriously consider topping them up for a better performance.
usd 1,000 is the minimum balance required for an acceptable performance but you will experience the power of Lightning with +10k accounts.
It's not necessary to inform us of your deposits, accounts will be automatically adjusted.
