When a severe snowstorm struck Northern Alberta resulting in a 100 car pileup on the highway, Javier Salazar was stuck. En route to Calgary to shoot an event, the Edmonton Better Together co-leader found himself on the wrong side of a winter weather nightmare.

Javier decided his best option was to ask for help. He managed to get a message out to a few members of Better Together Calgary (yep... totally different city & totally different group).

In the end, five shooters responded & the event got covered by a photographer not named Javier. The highway stayed closed all night. Blown away, the client couldn't help but tell everyone about this hero moment when a whole community stepped up to save the day.

What's great is the real heroism didn't begin when the storm hit & everyone rallied. It actually began when two groups of photographers were convinced they were better together than in isolation. This was just that audacious idea in action.. when it mattered most.

The truth is I hear stories like this all the time from BT groups all over the planet. How am I so lucky to be colleagues with you amazing people?

To everyone who calls Better Together your community, thank you for who you are & what you stand for. You are truly leading our industry forward.

mentoring

While I was there, a number of you told me you needed more hands-on help if you were going to make your vision real as a professional creative.

When you told me, all I kept saying was, "Me too!" The direction, focus and accountability from trusted coaches have been key for me my whole life.

If you crave some of this for yourself, I want to encourage you reach out for help. You don't necessarily need to hire anyone either.

We've heard amazing stories of Better Together groups self-organizing to cross-mentor each other. If you're a self-starter, get after it.

That said, if you know an investment in yourself would make the difference in getting you to the next level, don't hesitate any longer!

Fast Track Mentoring is available right now.

The program is designed to help you...
1. get clear on where your business stands today
2. envision where you need to go from here
3. empower you to get there as efficiently as possible

In addition to the formal program, there are a bunch of other options available too. Let me (or any of our leaders) know what you're needing and lets get you a solution together. It's time.

Feel free to email me with any questions you have or just to say hi.
