Essence Magazine in their recent feature on him, referred to Ayoinmotion as "a dynamic performer who draws inspiration from his passion as well as his desire to create unforgettable music that leaves a lasting impression on any audience'

Growing up during military rule in Nigeria imbibed a deep desire for activism and advocacy for positive change. Similar feelings ensued when he arrived in the depressed economic climate of Flint, Michigan, a city with resilient character but still reeling in the aftershocks of General Motor’s abandonment. Both places however, inspired a life story that would ultimately radiate through his artistry. Unraveling a deep creative burst during a brief stay in Japan, he returned to the U.S. and enrolled at the University of Michigan at the age of sixteen. Musically, it's been onward since then.

Ayoinmotion is a uniquely dynamic performer whose high octane delivery and stage mastery recently set ablaze the legendary Essence Festival 25th Anniversary Edition garnering an invitation to return for an encore performance on the final day. He has opened for Afrobeats superstar Davido, Talib Kweli at the legendary J.Dilla's tribute and also recently headlined Carnegie Hall's neighborhood concert series. He also curated & performed at a standing room only screening, panel and special event in collaboration with Apple in New York City. Accompanied by an infectiously energetic band and pulsating Afrobeats dancers that engage the crowd, Ayo's musical performance is steeped in the vibrancy of an authentic and worldwide sound. His new EP, SOVA within three months of release surpassed 72,000 streams.

Ayo is also a poet and a proponent of using his artistic platform as an avenue for social action; he organized a benefit for the kidnapped Nigerian girls and recently performed with his band to raise funds for children affected by contaminated lead water in Flint. His write-up as a Nigerian immigrant growing up in Flint juxtaposed with the water crisis, was featured in Huffington Post.
