The 6th annual “Get RADICAL Women’s Conference”

Presented by Doreen Rainey on March 21-23 was a huge success

(March 31, 2014 – RESTON, Va.) The Hyatt Regency Hotel in Reston, Va. was the perfect venue for the 6th Annual “Get RADICAL Women’s Conference” held March 21-23. This intimate setting welcomed over 350 women from all over the country as well as some who travelled from other countries. Many were repeat attendees. The camaraderie among the women at the conference was truly heartwarming and inspiring, making this year’s conference a huge success.

“One of the highlights of the conference this year was facilitating the success panel where attendees from the previous years shared how much progress they had made and their accomplishments. It highlighted the success that can happen when you attach what you learn with action,” Doreen Rainey, CEO, RADICAL Success Institute and conference founder said.

The conference featured memorable presentations from several keynote speakers:

Doreen Rainey (CEO, RADICAL Success Institute and conference founder): The Heart of a Champion - Rainey provided attendees with step-by-step suggestions on how to set realistic goals and position themselves to achieve these goals.

Laila Ali (World Champion Athlete, Wellness and Fitness Expert, Beauty Brand Ambassador): Releasing the Champion in You - Life is like a boxing ring. Ali talked about what it takes to position yourself to win — every time you step into the “ring.”

Lori Greiner (ABC’s “Shark Tank” Star, Investor and Entrepreneur): Turning Your Idea Into a Million Dollars - Greiner shared tips on how to turn your business ideas into money-making ventures.

Jean Chatzky (Financial Editor - NBC “Today Show”): Money Rules: The Simple Path to Lifelong Security - Chatzky shared the critical rules people need to gain the financial security they desire.

Teneshia Jackson Warner (CEO and Founder of Egami Consulting): Powerfully Pursue Your Purpose - Jackson Warner shared what it takes to build a business that lasts.

The theme of the conference this year was “The Heart of a Champion,” and the conference included breakout sessions that gave people an ideal opportunity to choose topics that were most relevant to them. These sessions were led by experts in their fields and consisted of techniques that could be implemented immediately in every aspect of their lives — whether in a business, relationship or career.

The conference also featured The RADICAL Awards, which were created to honor women who are not only successful professionally but have also made a concerted effort to give back to their communities. Women could either nominate themselves or be nominated by their peers. Then a committee of community leaders and professionals reviewed the nominations, and finalists came to the conference where the winners were announced.
This year's winners are:

RADICAL Entrepreneur Award winner - Claudia Zanes - Zanes Law Firm, Co-Founder

RADICAL Woman Award winner - Nikki Klugh - The Principal and Owner of Nikki Design Group (NKDG)

Rising Star Award winner - Stephanie Bavaro - CEO of GREATful Women and certified Project Management Professional (PMP)

This was the conference’s last year, unfortunately, and women across the country will miss it. However, Rainey says women can stay “RADICAL” in the conference’s absence.

“The conference was just a part of what we do at the RADICAL Success Institute. Through our courses, coaching and other live events, women can continue to learn, grow, network and get equipped to achieve their biggest goals. There are always opportunities to help people accelerate success with the RADICAL Success Institute,” Rainey said.

The RADICAL Success Institute provides courses on entrepreneurship, personal growth, career development and more. These courses are a great way for women to get the information and tools they need to move forward with their goals.
