HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS ARE 'BOOKIN’ IT TO ETHIOPIA'

Kelsi Manz and Tiffany Spangler show that anyone of any age can make a difference for children. These two high school seniors in Ohio are dedicated to raising $26,500 in order to build a library at a public school near Mekele, Ethiopia.

The girls are over 60% of the way to their goal. At a recent fundraising dinner and silent auction, $10,000 was raised in one evening. Their target is to complete their fundraising by March 31st, then will join a mission team to help complete the new library.

A library of books will open the world for children in Mekele. Children in Ethiopia learn to read in English and Amharic at an early age so teachers are desperate for new materials to stimulate their young minds.
