Tonight - the Feast of St. Matthew

Matthew 4x6

Today (Sept 21) is the feast of St. Matthew, Apostle and Evangelist. Please join us for Holy Communion at 6 pm. There is no dinner following the service this week (sorry!).

O ALMIGHTY God, who by thy blessed Son didst call Matthew from the receipt of custom to be an Apostle and Evangelist; Grant us grace to forsake all covetous desires, and inordinate love of riches, and to follow the same thy Son Jesus Christ, who liveth and reigneth with thee and the Holy Ghost, one God, world without end. Amen.

Children's Church - 2 announcements

IMG 0932

The altar cross has arrived and it, along with the new altar and the children's cross will be blessed this Sunday, immediately following the service. The congregation will be invited to follow the clergy in procession to the chapel so as to be present for these prayers.

A note to parents: An offering is taken up each week as a part of the Children's Church liturgy. The children will have the opportunity later in the year to decide to whom their offering will be given. Please remind your child(ren) to bring their offering with them to Children's Church each week.

As this is new for us at St. Marks - if you would like to attend but find that this time is not possible for you, please speak with the Rector (who wants to find the time that will work best for the most people).
