"Urban art" derives from a latin word "urbs" meaning City. It is a style of art that relates to cities and city life by artists who live in or have a passion for city life.

From spray art and marker drawings to poster or sticker campaigns and sculpture, urban art can take many forms.

Kool Herc Marked the Era, when "Hip Hop" Urban Culture Evolved.

In 1967, Clive Campbell from Jamaica came to South Bronx, known by the name: "Kool Herc".The founder of hip-hop, a "master" of the music system, which evolved around the lives of youth.

Kool Herc threw parties, giving speech-feast into the microphone and became known as MC ("master of ceremony") by playing & announcing the record.

Kool Herc was known to repeat the instrumental breaks between verses, for the dancers to show their skills. The dancers were named "B-Boy", "Break boys" - for the term break dancers. A DJ that spit rhymes became known as a "rapper".
