GranolaFinal

JUNE, 2013

Well, with our first New England heat wave behind us, we're finally ready for summer! And with it, we've cooked up a bunch of new recipes to keep you and your kids well fueled and well cooled when the mercury rises.

First up is our new recipe for Crunchy Oat-y Granola. It's easy enough for the kids to make (with appropriate supervision, of course), and it's perfect for Father's Day layered with low-fat Greek yogurt and fresh, sliced berries. This heart-healthy granola is made with canola oil versus butter, whole grain oats, walnuts, and dried cranberries. (For a Father's Day discount on our cookbook, No Whine with Dinner, read on!!)

Liz recently appeared on New England Cable News for a TV segment on what to eat and drink on hot days. You can watch her segment on NECN. During the segment, she talked about a recipe for Watermelon Pomegranate Pops, which we just posted to our blog.

Looking for a salad recipe to bring to your next cookout, Sunday brunch, or bridal or baby shower? We've got a new recipe for Lemony Couscous with Lots of Veggies that's sure to hit the spot. (Plus, your kids will love it too.)

Do we have any budding food photographers out there? If you're interested in taking pretty food photos and sharing them on a blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc, then check out our step-by-step guide for making your own DIY Food Photography Boards. It's simple ... and fun.

Don't forget to check out our Recipe Index for all your healthy, family recipe needs ... And if you'd like to continue seeing our regular updates on Facebook, visit our fan page, hover your mouse over the "Liked" button located near the top of the page and make sure "Get Notifications" and "Show in News Feed" are checked. It's that easy.

Happy Father's Day,

JANICE and LIZ
