Great Smoky Mountains

Greetings!
Spring is finally here and that means it's a great time to get out and enjoy nature, I hope you've had the chance to benefit from the great outdoors. I've certainly been busy making new images, teaching workshops, and enjoying our newborn - 4 months already! Her name is Acadia Marie, and she's already stolen my heart :)

It's been busy for sure, but I always try to make time to collect and share valuable resources and info I think can benefit you as a fine art photography lover or active photographer. I hope you enjoy the newsletter and images.

Learning Resources

Tips for Hanging Artwork - learn the basic of hanging artwork in your home or office with lots of photos and useful tips.
Affordable Tripods - I get lots of questions about affordable tripods. I think a tripod is essential to every serious landscape and nature photographer, so here's a great guide to several models I recommend.
Lightroom Workflow Video Tutorial - I demonstrate my creative workflow in Lightroom 4 as I process an image from start to finish.
Canon DSLR Simulator - here's a nifty little simulator that lets beginners get a taste of how Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO affect the look and exposure of a DSLR camera.
Looking for a great beginner/intermediate guide to photography? My favorite by far is Bryan Peterson's "Understanding Exposure". I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their photo skills. A classic book you shouldn't be without.
