Years in Industry: 30

After banking with commercial banks, John was looking for a local alternative. He saw LES People’s FCU a few times walking in the neighborhood and decided to get some information; the connection was formed immediately and he became a member on the spot.

John is a restaurateur with over thirty years of experience. He has managed high class restaurants but with his entrepreneurial skills he decided to open his own restaurant with a different concept.

This concept was born from the belief that quick foods doesn't need to mean unhealthy foods. Gathering an array of fine Asian flavors such as Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Malaysian, Indian, using only fresh and organic ingredients, and barring GMO and preservatives from participating in the recipes, make Wacky Wok, with its humble prices, very unique.

John opened his business three years ago in a former Chinese restaurant that had closed. He likes the flexibility of his business, the interaction with “real people” and putting the food together by using healthy oils, house- made sauces without preservatives; and organically grown ingredients.

Wacky Wok was a victim of Hurricane Sandy like many of our business members. The restaurant didn’t get any compensation from its insurance company and John was left with unexpected expenses for repairs. Fortunately, John is full of energy to continue with his passion and because he’s a PROUD member he wants to share this special discount with his fellow members: Use code LES15 for 15% off of online and telephone orders.
