We recieved a lot of responses to our lunch time question. I thougth it would be fun to share some of these with you.
We are keeping the names private to "Protect the Innocent". You know who you are....
1. Brown bag it and sleep on a cot and work 24/7. 2. Skip lunch and just have happy hour from 3 to 5. 3. Who has time for an hour lunch? Eat while you work that's what we do. Just picking no preference. 4. Whatever works best for you. 5. That is very cool that you are taking the opinions of your clients for this. It gives more time in the afternoon should something pop up. For example: I may get a request from a new contractor that they need my insurance info. An early lunch may allow us to get that info to them on the same day
Thanks for looking out! 6. Well... I think the 1 - 2 is better. Most companies start their lunches at 11:30 so that would give them time to make their insurance pmt and get food. I know if i am busy in afternoon, here, it starts at 11:30 - 2 and then 4 - 6 are our busiest times. I like being in the spotlight! 7. If you close for lunch I would recommend that you put one of the mail drop things in your door so they can drop their check off when the office is closed. (we have a door slot just for you). 8. No one should have hunger pains. 12:00- 1:00 which is usually the norm, would be a suggestion. 9. I vote for 12 to 1 !!!!!!!!!!!!! 10. I remember going through this when I worked in an insurance office. It seems that no matter what time you pick, someone will not be happy so my suggestion is for you to pick the time and your customers will have to work around it. Good luck to you and whatever time you pick will be fine with me. 11. I say 1:00 to 2:00 because most people take lunch from 12:00 to 1:00. That way they could swing by the office if they need to. But since I work in Fayetteville it won't affect me either way.
