APRIL 2014 HERO OF THE MONTH

IMG 1660

Marc credits Manuel Trigo as an inspiration and a mentor. Marc and Wendy Dinnerstein come from a Natural Horsemanship background, and have been so excited and inspired how Manuel takes dressage, Working Equitation, Doma Vaquera from the perspective of the original Baroque Masters of Horsemanship; which really is “natural horsemanship.” Where the horse maintains the frame, direction, and speed until told differently. As opposed to being held into frame and never really released.

So when Manuel asked Marc to help with the music, during the January Lightness Tournament in Arizona, he was happy to pitch in.

Marc likes to play guitar, and ride his horses, and has never ventured into public speaking or being a “DJ”. He recalls that in College, (years ago…) he was in a public speaking/speech class, and by the end of the class, ”I was a nervous wreck!” He laughs as he recalls the memory, but he was personally challenged when the announcer for the Lightness Tournament at the Carrousel Show, cancelled at the last minute! Suddenly Marc had to do the music and announce! He said, “I was pretty nervous, but after 15-30 min. I was doing pretty good, and it made me relax and enjoy myself when I realized I pretty much knew everyone in the audience.”

“I was happy to help make the tournament a success and do whatever I can do to help!” Marc feels now that, “It was also a benefit to me to step-up and face the challenge and better myself in the process.”

Thank You Marc!
