Sophisticated, slightly retro pop songs… with the smart, jazzy feel of Ben Folds or Randy Newman - M Music & Musicians

Acclaimed singer/songwriter and pianist Jon Regen has signed to Sly Dog/Mack Avenue Records. Regen will make his label debut with the single Revolution out March 26, and will celebrate the signing with tour dates across the United States and Europe. Upcoming appearances include Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles (March 29), the Cutting Room in NYC (April 3), Reigen Live in Vienna (May 8), NuSpirit in Bratislava (May 9), Pizza Express in London (May 11), and the 2013 London Jazz Festival (November 16-17). More shows confirming shortly.

Revolution will appear as the title track to a full-length album set for release later this year featuring a cast of musical heavyweights like Police guitarist Andy Summers and Heartbreakers keyboardist Benmont Tench. Regen also co-wrote a number of the album’s tracks with Rob Thomas (Matchbox Twenty) and David McAlmont (McAlmont & Butler).

Regen also recently co-wrote the new song "Stay" with storied songwriter Dan Wilson (Adele/Taylor Swift). The song was championed by noted physician and television personality Dr. Oz, and featured on his website.
