The International Association of Trichologist will launch its newest book on hair loss, written by renowned Australia based trichologist, David Salinger, which includes 90 photos of hair and scalp problems. The book will make its debut at the 3rd Annual World Trichology Conference in San Antonio, Texas, May 4th and 5th, 2014.

Professionals in the Trichology field will convene on San Antonio to receive key information in building and maintaining thriving careers in trichology, the study and science of hair. The two-day international conference will host delegates from Argentina, Australia, India, Canada, Sweden, the U.K. and throughout America.

Guest speakers include Australian trichology trailblazers Janne Scougall Hunt and Michelle Eggins alongside David Salinger. Psychologist and adjunct professor at Webster University, Dr. Kirleen Richardson and California-based School of Science Technology Resources lecturer Bill Hoffman will also lend their expertise at this year’s World Trichology Conference.

Lectures will discuss the different aspects of hair loss and scaly scalp problems. Salinger says the biggest trichological problem amongst Americans is the baldness caused by chemically straightening the hair or from tightly braiding the hair. “People have to be educated as to the dangers of these procedures”.

The international hair industry has been recorded to circulate more than one-half Trillion dollars annually.
