Holland Photo Imaging is proud to announce our very first juried exhibition as part of the WEST Austin Studio Tour!
The weekends of May 10-11 and 17-18, Holland Photo Imaging's front counter area will be transformed into a gallery displaying the work of local Austin artists. The show will be juried by Pump Project gallery director, photographer, and Holland digital printing technician Rebecca Marino.
The cost of entry is $20 (payable via PayPal to brian@hollandphoto.com, or at our front counter with cash, check, or CC) and covers up to five images. We are accepting all media, but only two-dimensional works due to space limitation. There is no theme to the show – just give us your best work! Image files for submission should be no larger than 10MB per file and in JPEG format. We are only accepting digital files for submissions, no hard copies. With your submission, please submit a separate text document with this info: "title, size, media, year, price" for each image. Files can be submitted at our front counter, via email to hollandwestcontest@gmail.com, or uploaded to our Dropbox folder hollandorder@gmail.com, title the folder in the format "Your Name WEST". Holland Photo Imaging will print images selected for the show at no charge to the artist. The prints will be given to the artists for finishing so that your work is submitted back to us ready to hang for the WEST tour. If an artist wishes to show original artwork, that is acceptable as well. If Holland Photo handles the sale of your artwork or print, we will retain a 20% commission off of the sale price.
The submission period will be open from today until April 10, 2014 at 6pm, we will not accept submissions after this date so plan ahead. At that time, image selection will begin with notifications of selected artists being announced April 16. Printable files will be needed by April 21, with final prints available for pickup by Friday April 25.
Ready to hang artwork should be delivered for hanging to Holland Photo no later than May 7 before closing at 6pm. There will be a reception for all entrants and selected artists on May 9 at 7pm.
