Streamside is now listed at Retreat Central

Fall is a beautiful, but underused, time of year to retreat at Streamside and we have been working hard to increase our usage, not only in the Fall, but Winter and Spring as well. We recently met with 55 potential retreat leaders at WMCA 570 AM Pastor's Appreciation Lunch in New York's Historic Pennsylvania Hotel and have posted our availability on Retreat Central's website. Our most recent September retreat was a first time and last minute group referred to us by the Bowery Mission's camp. This eager and grateful men's group from the Bronx was thrilled to climb the mountain, shoot archery and watch frogs. They raved about the food and sensed God's presence. Their leaders were energized by the spiritual impact the retreat was having on their men. Our desire is for more churches and other Christian ministries to recognize the valuable and effective tool that retreats are. We are praying that we will have more and more opportunities to introduce new groups to the Streamside experience.

Craig Peggy 2

Believe it or not, Peggy and I have been married for 30 years. It has been a wonderful 30 years of life and ministry together and we chose to celebrate in Colonial Williamsburg with Reyna and Robyn. We spent 3 days in the "Colonial City", enjoyed dinner on the river in Yorktown and played in the ocean at Virginia Beach. We are grateful to Peggy's parents, Glenn & Audrey Bearss, for the use of their vacation package at the Wyndham Kingsgate.

I was greatly influenced by the ministry of World Impact and the books written by their founding president, Keith Phillips. A have embraced concepts like responsible giving, incarnational living and the importance of discipleship throughout all of my years of ministry to urban communities. When World Impact announced they were selling their camp, Harmony Heart, Streamside was eager to fill the void and become the East Coast camping location for World Impact. We invited their campers to a special One Day Camp on the way home from their final week at Harmony Heart to give them healing and hope. We have continued to build relationships with World Impact missionaries and their Christian school administrators in both Newark, NJ and Chester, PA. We look forward to incorporating children and teens from Newark and Chester in Winter Blast, Summer Camp and our leadership training programs.

International Missions Trip

bcmperu

Spring 2014

As a missionary with BCM, Craig will be traveling to Peru in the Spring to conduct his "Maximizing your Impact" seminar on personality and spiritual gifts for the missionary team at BCM Peru. He will also speak at commencement for the Bible Institute there. This will also be a great opportunity to connect with internationals who may want to spend the summer at Streamside. We will need to raise additional support for this ministry opportunity.

Give on-line at https://bcm21697.thankyou4caring.org/streamside or by mail to BCM International, 201 Granite Run Drive, Suite 260, Lancaster, PA 17601. All checks should be made out to BCM International. You can designate the gift to Craig Vincent/Streamside Camp (#16191). Simplified giving through EFT is available as well.

Log Cabin

The Log Cabin

We are converting the former Director's home at Streamside into retreat housing. We have begun to use the "Log Cabin" as an additional dormitory space for large groups or as 3 additional guest rooms. It is being refurnished this fall including the addition of alternative heat to the wood stove. Along with regular camp and retreat use, we believe it will be an attractive get away for pastors, families or small retreat groups. The Log Cabin has a living room with fireplace, dining room, kitchen equiped for 12, 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, basement dorm, 2 porches and laundry facilities.
