DETI August 5th – 9th, 2013 at UMBC

What is the ClancyWorks Dance Educators Training Institute (DETI)? We believe that outstanding teaching takes place when educators are passionate and engaged in their own artistic growth! ClancyWorks Dance Company and Baltimore County Public Schools Office of Dance co-present intensive professional development programs for artists teaching dance, called the Dance Educators Training Institute (DETI).

The workshops will focus on 21st century skills in the following five main tracks:

▪ Curriculum Designs and Considerations
▪ Dance Science/Somatics
▪ Dance Classes- Modern Techniques and World Dance Genres
▪ Composition/Improvisation Tools
▪ Technology in the Arts Focus
