Release day for Snowflake Sweethearts!

Come along with me and travel back to Fairhaven, Washington, with single mom and personal chef Annie Romano. Annie has never forgotten the man she secretly loved as a teenager, and when he asks her to be the live-in caretaker for his ailing grandmother, she agrees. As the holiday season approaches Alex's grandmother's matchmaking friends and one fatherless little girl are soon pulling at Annie's and Alex's heartstrings...just in time to make this a very special Christmas. I hope you'll enjoy this third and final book in the Bayside Treasure Series.

Did you read the first two books in the series - SEEKING HIS LOVE and A MAN TO TRUST? Each story stands alone, but they all include those fun matchmakers, The Bayside Treasure Ladies. Hope you will enjoy them all!

Did you know reviews posted online have a big impact on sales? If you enjoy Snowflake Sweethearts I hope you will take a few minutes to share your review on Goodreads.com, Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, and Christianbooks.com.

On My Bookshelf This Month

A LIGHT IN THE WINDOW by Julie Lessman, a delightful, romantic holiday novella.
A WREATH OF SNOW by Liz Curtis Higgs, a lovely Victorian Christmas novella.
CALM MY ANXIOUS HEART by Linda Dillow. We are using this in our women's small group and loving the biblical and practical teaching.

Signing my name to a new 3-book contract.

Signing a Contract for The Governess of Highland Hall

I am happy to announce I have signed a new contract with Waterbrook Multnomah Publishing Group to write three historical romances set in England in 1910 - 1919. If you've enjoyed Downton Abbey and English novels by authors like Julie Klassen, Laurie Alice Eakes, and Cathy Gohlke, then I think you will like The Governess of Highland Hall. Beautiful Tyntesfield in Somerset, England is the home I have in mind as I write this story. The Governess of Highland Hall releases October 2013!

This Frozen Raspberry Torte is one of our favorite Thanksgiving desserts. Hope you will try it!

Happy Thanksgiving ~ Festive Raspberry Torte

Crust:
1 1/2 Cup graham cracker crumbs
1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
1/4 Cup sugar
6 Tbs. melted butter

Fruit Layer:
1 12 oz. package of frozen raspberries
1 Cup sugar
2 Egg whites
1 Tbs. frozen OJ concentrate
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
1 cup whipped cream or Cool Whip

Combine graham cracker crumbs, nuts and sugar in a food processor. With machine running, pour in melted butter and blend well. Press into the bottom and slightly up the sides of a springform pan. Chill.
Finely chop frozen raspberries in a food processor until they are like fine powder. Pour into a large bowl. Add sugar, egg whites, OJ concentrate, vanilla, and salt. Using electric beaters, whip until stiff peaks form, 3 - 5 minutes. Whip the cream in a separate bowl and then fold into the raspberry mixture. Pour over the crust and freeze until firm.

Superstorm Sandy Recovery

It's been two weeks since Superstorm Sandy blasted through New Jersey and caused much heartache and destruction. We were without power for four days, but that was a small inconvenience compared to some of our friends who lost power for 9 days, and nothing compared to others who live at the shore where many homes and businesses were destroyed. Our church has been actively reaching out to help others and bring hope, encouragement and practical help. Please keep New Jersey in your prayers as the recovery and rebuliding continues.

I am looking forward to celebrating Thanksgiving here in New Jersey with some of our family. I hope you'll take time this month to reflect and express your thanks to the Lord for all His blessings. I am very thankful for my faithful reading friends. Let's stay in touch! www.carrieturansky.com
