Hi there!

First the fun stuff. As always, there are so many interesting, random things I've come across this week. Oh my, what a great mistake to make! (Hat tip: NextDraft). Finally, someone has harnessed all that kid energy in the coolest of ways. And well, my poor husband, someone should have warned him.

Please note that some of the links below are my referral links, which means I may get a small commission if you make a purchase, at no additional cost to you of course. Thank you for your support in this way!

Enjoy!

1. How I got the useletter signup box that magically appears on my site

If you've visited my site recently, you may have noticed the little useletter signup box that pops up in the lower right corner when you scroll down (example here, assuming you haven't visited in a while). I've been asked how I got that. It's a plugin called Dreamgrow Scroll Triggered Box.

2. The difference between buzz and hype and why you want the former

I loved Pat Flynn's explanation of the difference between buzz and hype in his conversation with Michael Hyatt (at 00:35). In a nutshell, buzz is people talking about you. Hype is you talking about you. Go for buzz.

3. Finally! Now you can edit your Facebook posts

Facebook is finally allowing people to edit posts after they've been published. The feature is rolling out so if you don't see it yet, you will soon (the rollout starts with Android and is coming to iOS and the web soon). Hallelujah!

4. Could it be the overlooked, best price for ebooks?

Here's an interesting study about ebook pricing. In particluar, check out #6: "One surprising finding is that, on average, $3.99 books sold more units than $2.99 books, and more units than any other price except FREE...$3.99 earned authors total income that was 55% above the average compared to all price points..."

5. How to save time while watching YouTube videos

I'm a firm believer in shaving off time wherever you can. After all, those seconds add up! If you find yourself waiting for YouTube videos to buffer or load, speed things up by changing the video quality. You'll probably hardly notice the change in quality, but you'll notice an increase in speed. Click the gear icon in the black bar in the bottom right of any video and choose something lower. Easy peasy.

6. Blogging tips from bloggers

Last call for the Ebook Bundle of the Week all about blogging sale that ends this weekend. (I bought it myself.) Learn how to work from home from a work-at-home blogger (was drawn to the beautiful design so I just started reading this one!), make money in new ways (definitely the next one on my list!), how to hire help (or how to be the help people are looking to hire), write better for your blog and plan your blogging instead of winging it. More info here. Oh! I also bought and read this one in one sitting. Very impressed.
