Part of the planned mural
I am a high school senior at Liberty Bell High School in Winthrop, Washington, planning my senior project in Uganda, East Africa. I will be painting a mural on the walls of a village church, which is under construction, with the help of local church members. Along with the mural, I will be video taping my project and creating a documentary film. The trip will take three weeks, which includes our spring break. I will fly out of SeaTac International Airport in Seattle on Saturday March 23, 2013, with my mom, Julee Bailey.

My grandmother, Margaret Nelson, has been a nurse missionary in Uganda for the past 13 years. By going and working with her on this project, we have been given the opportunity to travel, experience new culture, and learn more about art.
