Social Media review
Participants listening intently on Day two - Advanced Workshop
12 & 13 November 2012 saw Steve Davis of Baker Marketing Services return to Coonawarra to deliver a jam packed 2 days of social media training. The program built on training provided in previous years, with a number of repeat participants, as well as registrations from people new to social media marketing and e-commerce. Topics covered included: using Word Press (free web design software) for website management; social media – what’s out there and how to set up accounts; ‘eavesdropping’ and monitoring social media to target your messages; and using images and video effectively, online counts, linking them together, and sending out your messages. Monday night over dinner over 1 gigabyte of APPs were downloaded with everyone curious to find out new ways to build their business, improve their health and wellbeing or to just have fun with games.
In 2013 we will again pursue funding to offer more training both in the upper and lower South East - there was strong interest in further social media training to learn new skills and refresh existing knowledge, particularly in relation to using WordPress, blogging, using images and video online with Photoshop.

Early arrivals enjoying Zaahira Bubbly from Woodsoak Wines
Stephanie Brooker-Jones and Nancy Withers entertained and audience of 45 with their accounts of life on the land. Their light hearted talks combined with the superb three course dinner at Caffe Belgiorno was another highlight in November for WiB&RD capping off a year of great success for the organisation. Thanks to our hosts Jan Kentish and Sonia Legoe

Editor's Note: Without the generosity of sponsors the organisation would find if difficult to offer the diversity of events and training throughout the year so it is with gratitude that I humbly thank each and every one of you. To those who will remain with us in 2013 I trust you will find the promotional opportunities exciting and to those who we say goodbye to a sincere thanks for your support of women across the region.
