To empower leaders and engage social needs.

Everyday Leaders

Most people are not in ‘positions’ of leadership ie. CEO, managers, presidents, etc. Yet, everyone has the opportunity to ‘influence’ others positively. We offer a training curriculum and a leadership book that helps empower people to make the right choices that matter most.

Social Action Initiative

Throughout 2011-2012, we will be trying to create a Social Action movement with children, families, leaders on a quarterly basis. Our first event is our 2nd annual Hot Potato Drive, which we are now calling "Feet on the Street", to be held on December 10, 2011. We will be preparing loads of yummy, hot potatoes stuffed in warm winter socks and delivering to the homeless around Toronto.

Hope you can join us! Open to everyone... more details to come.

Meet our Volunteers

Our volunteers are the pillars of Thinking Forward and we are so grateful for our high-capacity, high-energy volunteers that believe in the vision and values of what we are reaching for. It is only through their efforts that the vision becomes a tangible reality. Each newsletter will feature a volunteer to recognize them for their efforts and commitment to Thinking Forward.

Meet Deb Latter

Deb Latter believes in the vision and value of Thinking Forward and that is why she volunteers here. She believes that TF is "filling a need that isn't adequately being met in Toronto". She says that "Gifts need to be nurtured with purpose and direction", and together with TF, this is a long-term vision she supports 100%.

Deb has been a valued volunteer with Thinking Forward since its conception in 2010. She has assisted with the overall strategy planning and development of the core vision and is also involved with some of the Toronto Children's Playworks events.

"The people, the vision, the careful and thoughtful way the organisation is being built, the core values of the organization, and its leadership", are the reasons why Deb is passionate with volunteering at Thinking Forward.

Fun facts about Deb:
* The highest number of books I've ever read in a year is 85
* I belong to a poetry circle and regularly contribute my latest 'poetical works'
* I am an avid watcher of classic old movies

Wilson found his passion for leadership development during his role as Director of Ministries in church leadership. His joy in seeing leaders flourish birthed the dream for Everyday Leaders. He continues to be a life-long learner as he pursues his Doctorate in Leadership.
