Hi! I was surprised by the positive feedback to my Plan B last week, so I'm working it in here too.

This week, I loved how Kat stood up to her mean mom, how this 14 year old is changing lives and how a group of successful entrepreneurs shared their biggest failures. And I'm watching the launch of Oyster. If you don't know what that is, what Netflix is to movies, Oyster is to ebooks.

Some of the links below are my referral links. It's no cost to you, of course, but I might get a small commission on some things mentioned here so thank you for your support.

Enjoy!

1. How to keep all those PDF ebooks you download in one spot for easy reading

I downloaded two PDF ebooks from two of my peeps this week (Katie's Focused15 and Being OK With Where You Are from Stacey). I immediately emailed them to my Kindle app so I could read 'em later. And that made me think to tell you that (a) you don't have to have a Kindle to read ebooks on the Kindle app and (b) did you know you can email PDFs to Kindle? I love it. Keeps all my reading material in one place. Of course I had to write a full post about how I read ebooks.

2. On shipping it

I've been working on a particular project foreeeeeeever. Then I read this. Now I'm inspired.

3. Free vintage photos for your design needs

This is a great selection of vintage photos. There are no known copyright restrictions on these photos which means you can use them for free and without attribution. (Hat tip: Smashing Magazine.)

4. How I keep my earbuds tangle-free

I use a binder clip to keep my earbuds from getting tangled. Like in this video. It's cheap and easy.

5. How to organize projects with others

If you work with others on projects online (virtual assistance, for example) it can be hard to keep tasks organized and everyone on the same page, especially if you rely on email. Google Drive is popular among teams, but there are other tools too, like Asana (my current fave), Trello and Do.com. Yay for free tools!

6. Is your contact information private?

A lot of people register domains and don't realize their personal contact info is available to the world. (This is why I recommend adding privacy to your domain registration in Step 4.) Not sure if you're domain is private or not? Simply go to WhoIs, type in your domain and look under "Registrant Contact." If yours need to change it, contact your domain registrar and ask about making your domain private.

7. I'm loving these case studies

Are you doing Mandi's From Idea to eBook online course? It's all great stuff but I think my favorite part is the case studies. If you're doing that course, check 'em out (linked in top navbar). Gotta love real people sharing their real nuggets of wisdom.
