A Story of the recent CCSS Celtic Shamanism Retreat with magical bard Andrew Steed
Intending of the retreat: Gathering in circle with our Celtic ancestors, Dragon beings, and Spirits of the Land, we open our hearts, expand our imaginations, and free our authentic voices, as we connect deeply in gratitude with our walk as Warriors of Light.
We freed our authentic voices as we experienced Celtic Amrun chanting, connecting to the soul song of the Earth, feeding the flame of creation. Sacred sounds flowed through us, as we engaged in deep communion with the spirits of the land, trees, rocks, birds, flowers and waters. The song of the Earth sang us, as ancient sounds filled the air, our bodies moving in rhythm with the dance of nature.
Journeying into our heart flames, we asked the dragon of our hearts to connect with us, flying together to the dragon lines within us. We were guided to observe which lines were burning brightly, and where the lines were dim. With our dragon’s help, we breathed our dragon breath into the dark spaces to restore balance to our dragon lines within.
Our circle closed in Brighid’s Flame ceremony. Brighid is honoured as a Celtic triple deity, and she is considered a patroness of poetry, smithing, medicine, arts, sacred wells, livestock, and the arrival of spring. In a cauldron, the fire was lit with Brighid’s flame, as we sang a song to the Well of Her Memory:
With Brighid's flame burning brightly, we lit our candles that we would each take home with us, this flame to live on through our hearts.
We walk the razor’s edge as we walk the shamanic path. Often we are confronted with the collective shadow, which is much bigger than our individual selves if walking alone. When we walk together, we amplify our light, collectively illuminating our shadows, and exponentially, we co-create abundant change within and without. Together, we are Warriors of Light.

Alone each strand is breakable and weak, but when you are in balance within yourself, in body, mind, and spirit, you become strong, agile and unbreakable.
"Everyone is worth coming home to. That is the profound change we will experience when we melt the ice in our hearts, coming home to ourselves.” ~ Angaangaq
