CONYERS, GA – On February 21, 2012, the Elks Aidmore announced the inaugural Elks Aidmore Music Festival, a Blues and Jazz Music Festival that will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, GA.

The music festival will serve as a fundraising event for Elks Aidmore.

While they have put together a music festival that will feature all live music, its primary purpose is to bring awareness to the plight of children that are in foster care- most of which, are victims of domestic abuse.

Elks Aidmore has assembled an admirable list of Blues, Jazz and Soul artists with the electrifying Ken Ford as the headliner.

Also performing is Claudette "THE BLUZ QUEEN" King, who will take the stage at approximately 8pm. Yes there’s a new voice making waves in Georgia these days, belting out melodies of blues, soul, and R&B.

Claudette King, the youngest daughter of arguably, the worlds greatest living blues-man of all times, B. B. King, and her father's influence is very much in evident even in her own modern style of the blues.

Organizers of the Elks Aidmore Music Festival are putting countless hours of work into this inaugural event that will not only serve as an economic driver for Conyers and Rockdale County as well as "foster children," said Mayor Randy Mills.

In addition to the music festival’s impressive line-up; (Big Robert T., Will Culbreath featuring Jazzmatic; Tampa Blue and many others. ) Elks Aidmore has partnered with the Conyers ‘ Starbucks as a sponsor of the 60 Days to Elks Aidmore Music Festival promotion; every Friday from March 2 through April 20. The showcase is an opportunity for local musicians to play for an opportunity to perform at the Elks Aidmore Music Festival.

Elks Aidmore Music Festival will leave festival goers informed about foster care; pleased with the artists/music and looking forward to the 2013 music festival. Their goal is "for the music festival to
become an annual benefit event and with the local community’s support,” said Dawn Butler, Development Director.
