welcome to my first newsletter ! i will be sending one out a few times a year, or when i am having special sales or promotions. it's hard to believe how far into 2013 we already are, but a lot has happened this year. here are just a few of the highlights . . .

in january 2013 i opened my first solo studio + gallery in berkeley, ca (927 parker street). it's located in the historical SAWTOOTH BUILDING which is a full city block of artist studios. i don't have set hours just yet, but i do have an open door policy: if my door is open, feel free to come in, otherwise i am open by appointment. i am striving to do less production pottery here and to focus more on one-of-a-kind work and to explore other mediums. my new studio is the perfect venue for this new agenda.

i felt very honored to be featured in the february 2013 issue of MARTHA STEWART LIVING. the coincidental timing of that with the opening of my new studio couldn't have been more perfect. they requested that wilma be in the photo shoot and she posed patiently for 2 hours straight.

in march, wilma and i were featured in DIABLO MAGAZINE. the story was based on wilma's blog. did you even know that she had a blog ?! she is very modest about it, but she does have a lot to say.

in a few days i am heading back to the south of france to do another residency. i am extremely excited and ready for that certain 'je ne sais quoi' inspiration that i can only get there. the light, the colours, the landscape, the food, the buildings, the people, the life style . . . if you want to follow along and see what inspires me, you can join my instagram, follow me on facebook, or read my blog.
