NEW SCHEDULES – YOU SPOKE. WE LISTENED!

Our riders have told us that the bus schedules are a little confusing to read at times. So, we took action! RIPTA’s Marketing and Planning Departments teamed up with our design team to design a new and improved schedule! Last month, we reached out to social media fans to ask for feedback on the new schedule designs. Our Marketing staff compiled all the replies from our web site and social media sites to determine which schedule layout best met the demands of our customers. The result? One pretty cool looking schedule! RIPTA’s new schedules feature a 2-color design, making it easier to read and identify routes as well as AM and PM trips. The maps are easier to read and more detailed, making it easier for passengers to familiarize themselves with their surroundings. These schedules are printer-friendly in black and white too!

The new schedules were released in conjunction with our fall service changes effective August 24, 2013. These fall service changes are part of the first phase of RIPTA’s implementation of its Comprehensive Operational Analysis (COA) which assessed the demand for transit service throughout the state. RIPTA will continue to update schedules with the new design as COA recommendations are implemented moving forward.

Want to see what we’re raving about? Click here to see the new schedules.

Don’t forget, you can also access schedules online at RIPTA.com via your desktop or mobile device. Use our handy Google Trip Planner (located on RIPTA.com’s homepage) to plan out your next trip!

REDEEM YOUR REWARDS!

Get rewarded for riding RIPTA! Through the Rider Rewards Program, RIPTA is offering discounts at local businesses with the purchase of any RIPTA fare product.

RIPTA partnered with an array of great businesses to help promote the use of transit. Launch Trampoline Park, Dash Bicycle Shop, Roger Williams Zoo, and more have all agreed to offer specialized discounts for the RIPTA Rider Rewards Program.

In order to access these discounts, passengers must ask the driver for a rider receipt. Each receipt is good for one discount, at one location, for a one time use. The more you ride, the more opportunities you have to save. The rider receipt must be redeemed on the date marked on the receipt (the day of the bus ride).

Click here for a complete list of the businesses participating in the RIPTA Rider Rewards Program, their promotional offers, and more information. Businesses interested in participating in the RIPTA Rewards Program should contact Cristy Raposo, Marketing Coordinator at 784-9500x242 or craposo@ripta.com.
