Movement50 and My Own Two Hands Present: Volunteer Oakland

Movement50 and My Own Two Hands are pleased to announce another joint community service event to beautify our Town and move #OaklandForward! We will be volunteering to clean up the Bancroft Median in East Oakland between 73rd and 105th. This will involve removing litter, spreading mulch, and planting. We will be working with a youth group but we do need at least 20 volunteers to make this a successful event. Parks staff will be there to support us with tools and gloves and everything we need to get the job done.

This is a great opportunity to get to know Oakland, give a little back, and have a great time with friends and family. Bring your family and friends!

Where:

Bancroft Median (from 73rd to 105th)

We will meet at 73rd and Bancroft Ave. in Oakland

Dress Code:

Please wear sturdy, close-toed shoes, clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty and a hat or sunscreen. Bring a water bottle, if you have one, to minimize trash. We will provide instruction, tools, snacks and water.
