Thank you for the many of you who responded to our last update and e-mailed our government regarding the transgender bill.

The bill was debated on last week but did not end up being voted on after all. We are waiting to hear back from our contacts at Parliament regarding the NEW expected date for the 3rd reading vote. We will update you through our Facebook group, and this e-mail list, as soon as we know.

In the mean time, please keep e-mailing our leaders to ask them to vote against this bill.

The Jerusalem Institute of Justice and MY Canada invite you to participate in an event at the University of Toronto to raise awareness for the mistreatment of Palestinians through the Middle East.

Palestinian Human Rights Week is the first of many events that will provide an opportunity for you to participate in an alternative dialogue on Human Rights in the Middle East.

Ottawa was buzzing late last week with the announcement of the Saskatchewan Human Rights Commission vs Whatcott decision announcement. Through the ruling the Supreme Court clarified that the Bible cannot be used as hate speech. There were, however, some negative aspects to the ruling as well.
