COLUMBUS SHORT GETS ‘SCANDALOUS’ ON THE COVER OF HEED MAGAZINE’S FALL ISSUE

This Issue features Columbus Short, KeKe Palmer, Jay Ellis, Monifah, Mack Wilds, Glenn Lewis, Aaron Camper and more.

New York, NY (October 1, 2013)—It’s handled. Heed Magazine has enlisted the star of one of TV’s most watched new shows to grace its Fall Cover, and it is indeed SCANDALOUS! Columbus Short, known for such films as “Stomp the Yard” and “Cadillac Records,” is this season’s cover story. Amidst the latest change in his personal life, he still manages to remain positive and focused, adding his wit, smooth sensibility and dapper style to our favorite Thursday night guilty pleasure.

On Tuesday, October 8th, a week after the season 3 premiere of ABC’s “Scandal”, the fall Issue of Heed Magazine will be available in Barnes & Noble stores nationwide and online via Zinio.com In late October, we will also provide a digital interactive version of this issue, which will be available as an app via Apple's iTunes store. In the forthcoming issue, Columbus Short proves why he’s our favorite ‘Gladiator’. Having been in the entertainment industry for quite some time, Columbus, who is also a singer and former background dancer for Britney Spears, plays the role of Harrison Wright on one of America’s newest sensations; and this has come as no surprise. He says, “Scandal has started to broad the awareness of my range of acting…and I’m starting to see that (evidenced) in the responses…that respect.” His skill, versatility, longevity, and charm makes a winning blend for a cover story that promises to be a perfect Fall read.

Also featured are exclusive interviews with powerhouse actress KeKe Palmer (who is also the cover of our special Zinio.com issue), Jay Ellis, the star of BET’s “The Game,” star of TV One’s “R&B Divas,” Monifah Carter, actor turned rapper Mack Wilds (aka Tristan Wilds), J’Rome who was the winner of ABC’s “Duets,” which featured mentors John Legend and Kelly Clarkson and more.

*Please note a correction in the fall issue of Heed Magazine. J’Rome is the winner of ABC’s Duets, not NBC’s Duets.
