The Mighty Tree
The description on Wikipedia says, "In botany, a tree is a perennial woody plant with a single main trunk taller than about 2 metres, with xylem tissue in the trunk and branches that continues to enlarge during the life of the plant by the process of secondary growth."
To a woodworker a tree is the beginnings of possibilities. It is colour, texture, grain, strength and durability; it is a "Michelangelo's canvas" or block of stone waiting to be sculpted.
The might tree - a part of the possibilities in the wild as well as in the hands of a woodworker. Thank-you trees!
