I combine replicas of the water flumes, wheels and towers of our past into a variety of functional artworks for gardens and landscapes. Pelton Waterwheel/Turbine
Extracting the power from flowing water took a monumental jump with the simple concept known as the Pelton Waterwheel. Designed to get rid of the water backwash and "blocking" that occurs in a waterwheel basin, the Pelton Wheel started the hydro electric power revolution. Today hose mounted micro hydro systems are available for home use for as little as 25 dollars. Trickle charge your small batteries with captured rainwater... it does happen.
