The Wettest and Driest Summer Ever!
Performing at Greenbelt Festival at the end of August was quite an amazing experience! My first time performing the play inside a tent - a BIG one - and thankfully, it was not quite as muddy inside the tent as it was outside, as shown by the photo (that's not me!).
My programme note at Greenbelt referred to Slavery Remembrance Day, Toussaint L'Ouverture the great Haitian revolutionary, and, Greenbelt being a Christian Festival, to Jesus Christ being the most famous revolutionary of all time. Controversial? Judge for yourself.
August and September were otherwise relatively quiet. August last year I was at the New York Fringe, the year before at the Edinburgh Fringe. A dry summer on the news front therefore, but a growing list of forthcoming performances to tell you about...
