Happy New Year! We have a few announcements to share with you:

Due to our Greece and India/Nepal programs filling up so quickly we are now offering additional departures for each location. The new Greece program will run from July 19th through August 2nd and the new India/Nepal program will run from June 10th through June 25th.

GEEO and the National Consortium for Teaching about Asia (NCTA), University of Pittsburgh coordinating site are happy to announce our new Backroads of Japan program. The group will be accompanied by Dr. David Kenley of Elizabethtown College who will be supplementing the tour with presentations and information on the theme of “Whither Japan?: Finding the Road Forward in the Twenty-first Century.” From now until January 31st we are offering this amazing program for an extra 5% off the regular price. The dates for this program are July 26th through August 6th and it is open to all educators and their guests.

GEEO is excited to announce that we will be offering a second Heart of the Silk Road program. This program will be run in collaboration with Yale University's Programs in International Educational Resources (PIER) and the Council on Middle East Studies at the MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies. Participants will be accompanied by Frank Griffel, Chair of the Council on Middle East Studies and Professor of Islamic Studies at Yale University. The dates are July 19th through July 30th, 2014. The trip is selling out really quickly so we would recommend signing up right away if you wish to join. Our June 28th Heart of the Silk Road program is being run with NYU and is already sold out.

GEEO's Morocco Spring Break sold out very quickly so we have opened up a second departure with the same dates and itinerary as our original group. If your spring break happens to be April 13th through April 20th please take a look here for more details.

Our Italy's Amalfi Coast program, which runs from June 21st through June 28th, will have an earlier booking deadline than the rest of our summer programs. If you wish to participate in this program you must sign up by February 28th. With cooking demonstrations almost every-night and long hikes through gorgeous towns and countryside during the day, this program will likely be full in the next few weeks as we only have limited space available. I encourage you to sign up right away.
