Happy Fall!

It's been an exciting year for me at Jen J Photography, and I've made some changes I'm really excited about! As I adjusted to life with four kids, I had to decide if a photography business was something I still wanted to pursue. As I weighed the costs and benefits, I concluded I do want continue, but on terms that will make it more meaningful for me and for you, dear clients. I'm moving on from the shoot-and-burn business model and have committed to a higher level of service before, during, and after our sessions together. My goal is to give you the best experience I can and to increase the return on your photography investment. Before the session, I am now including a consultation to get to know you better, establish goals for the shoot and plan the location, styling, and overall feel to best meet those goals. That way during the shoot I am better prepared to capture what it is I love most--moments of pure emotion. After the session, we sit down together to look at your beautiful pictures and I get to help you create that wall gallery, or decide which photos might be best for your birth announcement, or how many you might need for gifts...and make sure you ultimately get what it is you really want from our time together. With these changes, I've also adjusted my pricing structure to reflect the added time, attention, and quality products I'm offering. I've reduced the number of sessions I do each month to allow for the additional service time. I have to say the thing I love most about my new process is that I'm building deeper relationships with my clients. Because let's be honest...why wouldn't I want people like you in my life?

Holiday Cards made Easy!

My favorite consumer vendor for holiday cards, invites, announcements, etc. is minted.com. I consider their designs and print paper quality are top notch. This year I'm making it easier than ever for you to use your Jen J Photography images for cards by pre-loading the images directly to an account for you at Minted. If you've taken pics with me in 2013, I will be emailing you a link to my photographer storefront at Minted where you can test your images in different card layouts and order them directly! Fun, right?

That's all for now! I'm off to Chicago to my cousin's wedding. I shot their engagements--aren't they a cute couple? Until next time...
