You are invited to a screening of Energy Quest USA, a PBS documentary that visits five very different American communities, from Alaska to the East Coast, and Portland to Fort Worth, where citizens are making smart energy choices based on economics and the environment. Their experiences chart a path every U.S. community can follow to take charge of its energy future and adapt to the challenges climate change may bring.
Following the screening, Town & Country Alderman Jon Benigas will moderate a Q&A session between the audience and three experts:
Bob Inglis is the Executive Director of the Energy and Enterprise Initiative. E&EI is guided by the conservative principles of free enterprise and economic growth, limited government, liberty, accountability and reasonable risk avoidance to solve our nation’s energy and climate challenges. Before starting E&EI, Inglis represented South Carolina for 12 years in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Sister Barbara Jennings, CSJ is Coordinator of the Midwest Coalition for Responsible Investment, a faith-based coalition of 20 Catholic religious communities, faith-based individuals and investment managers. MCRI works with corporations to improve their environmental, social, and governance reporting and practices. Sr. Barbara has been involved in social concerns, contemporary moral issues, and university teaching since the 1990’s.
