We had so much fun meeting everyone at our first Eagleview Farmers Market last week! Thank you all for coming out to support your new community, producer only, farmer market. Please remember - we are a rain or shine market!
Mother's Day Sunday, May 11th. We've got everything you need for her special brunch, lunch and dinner. Flowers, we've got you covered. Something special - lotions from Ellen April.
What not to miss this week? Broad Wing Farm is bringing the last of the wild ramps - saute the leafy greens in Ironstone Creamery butter and toss with some fresh herb pasta from Vera Pasta. Making it's premier appearance at the market - spring rhubarb - at Old Homestead Farm - make Mom a rhubarb pie for Mother's Day!
Here's the round up of who is coming to market this week and what they will have available.
Produce
Broad Wing Farm: This week we'll have: ramps (probably for the final week), rhubarb (get your pie recipe ready!), green garlic, spring salad mix, spinach, baby kale, pea shoots - amazing and tender, and more of that baby boc choy! Also, Mother's Day Plant Sale! Specials on herbs and vegetables. Help Mom plant her garden!
Frecon Farms - Bring on the sunshine to ripen the fruit!
Old Homestead Farm: from their green houses they will bring 5 different lettuces, salad mix, arugula, baby spinach, fresh herbs, red beets, radishes, green onions, cherry tomatoes, kale, and Swiss chard. We'll bring flowers for Mothers Day, fresh cut bouquets, and a selection of hanging flower baskets.
Meat, Poultry, Eggs
Canter Hill Farm: It’s time for FRESH CHICKEN - whole chickens, boneless skinless and split breasts, leg & thighs and wings (we’ll have backs available, but please email to order). We’ll also come stocked with guinea hens, duck breast, duck legs and lamb chops. Planning a Mother’s Day breakfast in bed? We have bacon, Canadian Bacon, pancetta, breakfast sausage, caseless sage sausage, scrapple and both chicken and duck eggs. You can create the perfect Eggs Benedict with rich orange yolks and nitrate free meats to make her even happier!
Lindenhof Farm: This week we will have fresh whole chickens and fresh chicken parts (boneless/skinless breasts, and more). Also freshly ground turkey. Stop by for everything you need to cook up a special brunch for Mom: eggs and lots of different breakfast meats. Feel free to check out our website for more info and pictures.

Amazing Acres: will be at market the 1st and 3rd week of the month, next week!
Conebella Farm Cheese: will be at market the 1st and 3rd week of the month, next week!
Ironstone Creamery & Farm: Attending market this week, bringing Fresh Creamery Butter, Greek Yogurt, and Yogurt Smoothies!
Shellbark Hollow Farm: Treat Mom to a special cheese plate for her day. We will have chèvre , spreads, tomato nest biscuits, and marinated chèvre in jars.
Bakeries and Pasta Maker
A La Maltaise: will be attending market the 3rd week of the month with her Italian baked specialities, including hand made cannoli's!
Basic Batters: a gourmet gluten and dairy free bakery with some vegan options. We use all natural and organic ingredients and no preservatives. Our products are gluten, dairy, soy and GMO free. We are proud to use local organic eggs. This week they will offer multi-grain bread, English muffins, pizza crust, muffins, doughnut bites, and cookies.
Dia Doce: The cupcake truck is coming to market. Winner of Food Network's Cupcake Wars! Flavors this week: it's a surprise - YUM!
Laura's: Meet Laura - baker of delicious biscotti, featuring her seasonal favorite: lemon lavender biscotti - perfect for Mom. She makes great granola too - excellent with yogurt!
My House Cookies: Marie will have an assortment of baked goods, featuring fruit pies, savory quiches, cookies and carrot cakes, and maybe even a few surprises!
Saint Peters Bakery: This week they willeature Kentucky Derby Pecan Pie, and Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Corn Muffins, Mixed Berry Scones, and our new Energy Bar “French Creek Crunch”. As always we'll have our selection of wholesome breads and baked goods.
Sheila's Crunchy Delight: Sheila will be back to market next week - the 1st and 3rd of the month.
Vera Pasta: Spring menu includes - Fresh Herb Chitarra pasta (fresh oregano, thyme and parsley), Salsa Verde Gemelli (Tomatillo salsa infused pasta), Gemelli, Chitarra, Spicy Roasted Garlic, Tagliatelle. Ravioli: Wild Mushroom and Sage Ravioli, Caprese Ravioli, Spinach, Pecorino and Roasted Garlic Ravioli (Spinach Dough), Asparagus, Lemon Zest & Pecorino Toscano Ravioli. Sauce: Marinara.
Waffatopia: The folks from Waffatopia will be at market the 1st and 3rd week of the month, next week!
Speciality Food Products
Anita's Guacamole: They missed market last week, but will be attending this week. They make fresh guacamole - we're addicted! Also available: mango salsa and regular salsa.
Jenny & Frank's Artisan LLC: Bring your mom to the market this week, and you each get $1 off every item you purchase! We will have pints and singles of: Banana Nutella, Pistachio, Sunrise Espresso, Simply Lemon Sorbetto, Sea Salt Caramel, and Chocolate Supreme. Happy Mother's Day from Jenny & Frank's.
Pureblend: we will be in Eagleview this week with locally hand blended teas from the worlds finest ingredients. Ready-to-Brew Iced Teas and Matcha.
Take Me - Bake Me Pizza: plain, margarita, colors of Italy, Mediterranean. Large and mini pies.

Ellen April Handcrafted Soap: Ellen April will be at the market this week with their assortment of luxurious soaps and body products, just in time for your Mother's Day shopping.
Rustic Bunch: will be at market as soon as the flowers bloom!
Veronica's Doggie Delights: Yes, dog treats! Locally made, dog droolingly delicious - let your favorite pup make the decision! It doesn't take long - every dog finds their way to Veronica's table!
